Telmex ISP

I’m glad we chose Telmex as our Internet Service Provider. We weren’t sure which one to choose since there are many offers here in Colombia, as there are everywhere.

What made me choose Telmex over the competition is that they were the only one to propose speeds that fast (as fast as 8Megs). It’s not as fast as some of the broadband speeds we can have in Europe but it’s the fastest I found in Colombia.

After being satisfied by the downloading speed since the day they installed it, I was even more satisfied today when I went to speedtest.net and ran the “Speed Test“.

Wow! Both successive tests reveiled I receive exactely what I’m paying for: 4Megs. When I was living in London, I’ve had different providers and I don’t think any of them gave me the speed they advertised. I also ran Telmex’s speed test (Pruebas de Velocidad) on telmexhogar.com.co. The results are equal.

Then, I checked speedtest.net‘s World results and could see Telmex comes first in Barranquilla’s Top 10 ISPs.
